  2. SYMPTOMS. Serum sickness can cause fever, swelling of the lymph node, pains
  3. in the joints, hives or other skin rash.
  4. CAUSES. The allergic reaction is usually caused by penilillin or other drugs
  5. to which a person is unusually sensentive. There is usually a delay of a
  6. week to 12 days before the reaction appears.
  7. TREATMENT. The sickness will limit the person's activity.
